3rd April 1998 the very first meeting of staff and proposed Management Commitee.
10th April 1998 Headquarters were found at scout hut in Bridge of Don
The name of the Unit was initially to be The Bridge of Don Youth Organisation. We were to be an Embryo Unit attached to Stonehaven and District Sea Cadets.
Recruitment Posters were distributed to all local schools an the area.
8th May 1998 enrolment night held at local Scout hut.
24th June 1998 Lord Provost was invited to become our Honorary President. She accepted this position.
1st August 1998 Bridge of Don Sea Cadets were places on District Trial and moved in with the Aberdeen University Royal Navy Unit (AURNU) at the Gordon Barracks in the Bridge of Don.
8th December Bridge of Don Sea Cadets were put on Area Trial after a successful visit from Area Officer Lieutenant A.R. Milne of the Sea Cadet Corps.
28th March 1999 our Piping team were invited as Guests to take part in District Piping competition. Our team won both indiviual and team events. Because of this the Piping team were invited to attend the Area competition by Area Officer Lieutenant Colonel A.R. Milne. We won both individual and Team events. This diod not count offically as we were not yet a fully Fledged Unit.
26th March 1999 permission was given from the Town House that T.S. Bon Accord may be usedf as our Unit name.
18th June 1999 T.S. Bon Accord secured our own permises within the Gordon Barracks. They were allocated Building 17.
28th July 1999 the unit was visited by Lt. Colonel A.R. Milne to carry out an inspection before reccommendation to Sea Cadet Headquarters of our readiness to be Commisioned.
15th October 1999 the unit was visited by Sea cadet Headquarters Staff to assess the units readiness for affiliation to the Sea Cadet Association.
1st November 1999 T.S. Bon Accord passes the inspection and became fully fledged Sea Cadet Unit.
